Finish, Start, or Work Through the Messy Middle with GIT

Welcome to Getting It Together Coaching

2E students and adults can benefit from guided support long after their foundational school years. During times of transition—entering college or grad school, moving house or career, or even getting a diagnosis that illuminates a neurological difference in how you respond to the world—you may find yourself looking for some guidance and support. I help clients through those transitions with tailored programs suited to your needs and projects.

I became a certified ADHD coach in 2022, after a late diagnosis of ADHD and a lifetime of navigating 2E life without the knowledge and strategies that best support that life! I have a Ph.D in the humanities, and spent several years teaching in universities and working in university writing centers. I use my extensive knowledge as an academic educator to mentor to inform my deep training about neuro-affirming practices, especially as they relate to academic goals in college settings. I work with 2e learners who need support to achieve their goals and build confidence.

I don’t solve problems; I help you find your strengths and your own solutions.

Finding someone who can nudge, shove, or coach you towards your goals after years of negative self-talk, stalls, and sidetracks is a vital step.

Long Version:

Learning how to understand my strengths, weaknesses and values as a neurodivergent person has enriched my life in so many ways that I am eager to share with you. I pursued coaching as a way to put my research interests to work.

I am guided by principles of radical acceptance, authenticity, and curiosity, as well as grounded in practical strategies to help you meet YOUR moment, wherever you are. My goal is to help you identify and build upon your strengths and to boost your confidence as you live your life with your skills. As an accredited coach, I have a strong working knowledge of the practices and principles that support neurodivergent people, and as a former college educator and current research nerd, I have an excellent working knowledge of the strategies that can help you thrive in scholastic institutions.

Transitions are hard! I can help!

I offer one-on-one coaching for academic support, lifestyle and motivation support, and help dealing with a variety of transitions.  I am not a tutor, but I am knowledgeable about a range of academic practices and useful accommodations to help students with common executive function challenges, especially as they arise in the transition  from high school to college. Whether you are finding it difficult getting to class, turning in assignments, getting appropriate accomodations, navigating social situations or a new routine (or new circumstances), making choices based on your genuine curiosity, interests and goals, I can help.

I also offer small group monthly coaching sessions that will help you stay on track with a time-dependent  specific project or goal. These sessions include weekly body doubling sessions and 2 group coaching sessions. Perfect for anyone who has a clear goal that they are struggling to start, finish, or visualize while in the messy middle.
